Crossroads Together (Carers’)
Contact: Carer Advisor – Emma Blackwood ring 03333231990
A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a family member or friend who cannot cope without their support due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or addiction. They may or not live with the person they care for’ (Carers Trust 4 All)
Without question, looking after someone can be very rewarding but it can also be both physically and emotionally challenging for the carer. Sometimes you need someone to talk to outside of your immediate family or social circle – people who are experiencing the same feelings and can truly understand what you might be going through.
If this sounds like you, then pop along and join us for a coffee and a chat in a warm, cosy private meeting room and see what support we can offer you. It’s a drop-in meeting, so people can come and go as they please.
This newly formed group meets monthly, currently in the meeting room of The Castle Hotel in Wem High Street.
For further information about the group, contact Emma Blackwood at Crossroads together at Carers Trust4 All on 03333 231990 (Option 1 then Option 6)
or contact local volunteer Viv Edgar on 07854 923125 or firstname.lastname@example.org
